At the first Sustainability Day of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) on 27 September 2022, there were events on the topic of sustainability at several TUM locations – including a stand of the joint project BAYSICS at the Weihenstephan campus, supported by the bayklif office.
Alissa Lüpke, Simon Kloos and Sabine Rösler presented the possibilities offered by the BAYSICS portal and the “TreelinePredict” analysis tool for Citizen Scientists. In addition, visitors to the stand could, for example, take part in a climate change quiz, give estimates on the rise of tree lines in the Bavarian Alps or find out about phenological change via the networked “Tree 4.0” and with the “PhenoTracker” app. How the phenological seasons have already changed was strikingly displayed on a beer felt, which was particularly popular as an attractive giveaway.
