On 08.02.2022 the KLIMADISKURSE will take place for the fourth time, a public event and discussion series around climate change and its impacts, initiated by the junior research groups of bayklif. Next Tuesday, it’s all about the “forest and society”, which are facing a transformation – that’s one of the key messages from Prof. Dr. Michael Suda, head of the Department of Forest and Environmental Research at the Technical University of Munich. In his contribution, he will analyze the narratives of political interest groups in the environment of the forest and shed light on the areas of tension in which the forest stands: as economic space, natural space and recreational space and in a dual role as victim and savior in climate change.
