The BAYSICS subproject 1 went online on 07.08.2019 with the research project “Tree 4.0”. For this purpose, a copper beech was wired and equipped with sensors at the Augsburg Ice Channel. The “talking” tree now sends daily measurement data about its condition, showing how the weather and climate affect it. At present, the tree’s data is being transferred to the BAYSICS website and visualised there.
