„Bayerns Bächen geht die Luft aus“ will be screened in 7 cities as part of the Main FlussFilmFests(14.3.-24.3.)

In March 2024, the FlussFilmFest will take place along the Main River for the second time, aiming to inspire people with the vision of vibrant rivers and encourage dialogue. The opening will be held on March 14, 2024, at the Cineplex in Bayreuth, followed by events in Lichtenfels (15.3.), Würzburg (16.3.), Bamberg & Zeil a.Main (17.3.), Gemünden a.Main (20.3.), and Marktheidenfeld (24.3.). A highlight of the program will be the screening of the AquaKlif research documentary “Bayerns Bächen geht die Luft aus” (Bavaria’s Streams are Running out of Air), followed by a discussion with the protagonists and the director. Additionally, in 2024, the region of Bayreuth will once again dedicate an entire month to water. Throughout March, numerous events will take place to highlight the significance of water for our lives and our planet. The focus will also be on the diverse challenges and sometimes dramatic changes in river landscapes. This initiative builds upon the Main FlussFilmFest, which first took place in 2023 and “traveled” along the entire length of the Main River to Frankfurt. Water symbolizes life, and rivers like the Main, with their rich natural and cultural landscapes, play a crucial role as habitats for humans, animals, and plants.
