Invitation: Dialogue Practice & Research – River Conservation in Climate Change (June 13, 2024 at the LfU in Hof)

In the senior research association AquaKlif, the effects of climatic factors – temperature, precipitation-induced fine sediment input, fluctuating discharge volumes – on aquatic ecology and water quality were analyzed. The focus was on the upper reaches of river systems in the non-alpine regions of Bavaria, where research combined small-scale process understanding with modeling at the landscape level..

With the Event “Dialogue Practice & Research – River Conservation in Climate Change” the project members are inviting you to participate in the discussion about their research results. The following questions are central to the discussion:

How would you assess the development in Bavarian streams? Are they still salvageable as habitats under future climate conditions?

All those concerned with water conservation in agriculture and forestry, water and pond management, as well as nature conservation, are invited. The conference will be hosted by the Bavarian Academy for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management (ANL) on June 13, 2024, and will take place at the premises of the Bavarian State Office for the Environment in Hof.
