KLIMADISKURSE II, 14.12. – Tropical ice? The power of art in the struggle for 1.5°

Tropical ice? The power of art in the battle for 1.5°

On the 14th of Deccember, with Barbara Dombrowski (photograph and artist in Hamburg and everywhere)

The online event series KLIMADISKURSE goes into its second round:
For more than 10 years, Barbara Dombrowski has been portraying people affected by climate change in the landscapes that surround them, making them ambassadors of their continents and climate zones. “Putting faces to climate change” is one of the main motivations of the award-winning artist and photographer. What power does art have as a communicator and does it move us to action more than scientific facts? We look forward to an exciting discussion!

Followed by a panel discussion with:
Barbara Dombrowski, Dr. Laura Sommer (Consultant for Behavior Change and Sustainability), Prof. Dr. Juliano Sarmento Cabral (BLIZ – bayklif, Ecosystem Modeling, CCTB, University of Würzburg), moderated by Dr. Alice Claßen (ADAPT – bayklif, Chair of Animal Ecology and Tropical Biology, University of Würzburg), and others.
