On 25th of January 2021, the Minister of Environment Thorsten Glauber presented the current water level status report, in which the Bavarian Environmental Agency (Bayerisches Landesamt für Umwelt, LfU) analyzes the implications of the years 2018 and 2019 in which water levels were low: “Niedrigwasser 2019 und 2019 – Analysen und Auswirkungen für Bayern”
The low water level information service of the LfU gives online information on the current status and daily updates regarding daily discharge, precipitation, groundwater levels, source yields, water levels of lakes and storage basins as well as oxygen levels at automated recording stations.
