Getting involved in climate change

On the BAYSICS web portal and the associated smartphone app, citizens can now participate in a research project on climate change. The idea was originally from the Weihenstephan university professor Annette Menzel. The idea is to report the blossoming of certain plants (phenology) and the pollen load of plants causing allergies, as well as the activity of easy-to-spot animal species and the shifting of alpine tree lines, e.g. in the Bavarian alps.
