German Environmental Award 2019 goes to Prof. Dr. Ingrid Kögel-Knaber

(27.10.19) On 27 October 2019, soil scientist Prof. Dr. Ingrid Kögel-Knabner from the Technical University of Munich and the entrepreneur Reinhard Schneide from Mainz will each receive half of the German Environmental Award of the German Federal Environment Foundation, which is endowed with 500,000 euros. Ingrid Kögel-Knabner conducts research on the role of soils in climate change. She is considered one of the most renowned and influential soil scientists in the world. She was one of the first to study geoecology at the University of Bayreuth, received her doctorate and then habilitated in soil science under Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Zech. >> Link
